I woke up this morning to the sweet smell of rain and an awesome e mail in my inbox from my buddies at ITDR who let us know that us, our blog, and our brand were featured in Professional Photographer Magazine this month! How cool is that?! I have to give a big shout out to our buddies at ITDR  for helping us execute our brand into a blog in a way that is very *us*. You can check out the full article here: http://www.ppmag.com/
or pick up a copy of this months Professional Photog. Mag and it will be in there on pg. 62 ;)

On another note, yesterday and today is really the day of exciting features... We also had Kelsey & Nick's killer wedding featured on one of my favorite wedding blogs, Southern Weddings. Brides if you are looking for some cool "Winter Wedding" inspiration their wedding has quite a bit of it ;) and you can check out that feature here: www.swsmag.net

I also got an e mail from my girl over at Seattle Style letting me know that Amy & Neal's Wedding was also featured on their awesome Inspiration blog! You can check that out here: www.seattlestyle.com

So yay for our wedding being featured! and yay for our feature in Professional Photog. Mag!

Maureen & Vitaliy are some of the most thoughtful & caring people I know. Their wedding reflected them to a tee, from the beautiful details and decor that was chosen by Maureen to the most rad 80's hair-band song that they used for their first dance! so fun;) Maureen & Vitaliy don't take life too seriously and they know how to have a good time.

Maureen is my bride who leaves flowers on my doorstep with a thoughtful note, just because. She is the girl who remembers the small things that most people forget. This was only further affirmed at the wedding when friend after friend spoke of Maureen's amazing thoughtfulness. Vitaliy and her really are perfect for one another, Vitaliy is a strong quiet type who is like a rock for Maureen. It is really beautiful to see these two together.

Maureen & Vitaliy got married at Indian Summer Golf & Country Club. One of my very favorite florists in Seattle, Christiane Zweifler with Flora Nova Design did all of the floral design and she knocked it out of the park, as she always does! One of the best things about M&V is that they really valued their photography. They saw one another in a private 'reveal' before the ceremony where Maureen shed a few tears, it was tender and beautiful. The best part was that they gave Chris and I about 90 minutes before the ceremony for photographs of the two of them. We had a blast. If you would like to see more from their wedding you can check out their album design preview slideshow. Maureen & Vitaliy thank you for everything and we hope you are having a great time on your honeymoon!!

Just another blog stalker here. I was looking at all the amazing shoots you've had the past few months and this one just stands out to me. The colors, the flowers, the light, the shadows, everything looks is so beautiful and you took some incredible photos. The bride and groom - one of the best looking couples on your blog, and you've got a lot of them. Her eyes and smile are ridiculous and you can't get much more suave than the groom. Lovin' the purple and green color scheme. This is def a personal favorite.

Stephanie Lauren Photography says: Thursday, August 13, 2009, 09:55 PM

I love all your work, but I love the idea behind the shadow of the groom beside the bride... you amaze me!

Being a photographer myself, I always wonder how I'm going to pick a photographer, when I have such high expectations! But I'm quite confident that when that time comes, I will be giving you a call!

Sarah,

You did an amazing job. I'm not going to lie, when you asked us to pose a certain way I thought to myself this lady has a few screws loose, but looking at the pictures those were truly the most amazing ones. You have an amazing vision and a great attitude. Keep up the good work!!!

P.S. Your husband took a few pictures where four guys were standing around the pool table (we copied a famous rat pack picture). I can't see all of those pics. Can you please add them to the album. I would love to buy one.

(so I guess I won't try kicking up the dust during sunset next bridal shoot, darn!)

Sarah, you just don't understand. Well, you probably do. We are here in the Bahamas and I am bawling (if you remember the ceremony) in front of strangers. I can't thank you enough for the emotions you caught. I love Vitaliy (and you and Chris) more than words can understand. We love you and Chris and that's all we've been able to talk about our whole honeymoon.....thank you so much and LYSICO!!!!!

Kat Hennessey says: Monday, May 4, 2009, 08:45 PM

Hey Todd! The "fairy dust" is actually sprinkles from the rain... typical Seattle for you! Turned out pretty rad though. I am learning to use the rain to my advantage! ;)

ok, those are ridiculous.ly good. I'm not sure whose hotter, Marueen or Vitaliy. No I guess I know...

You may remember Amy & Neal from their bomb dot com engagement session. As if their E-session wasn't rad enough, their wedding was even more amazing. Chris and I had so much fun with Amy & Neal, their family and their friends.

Amy & Neal are people who know who they are, they are stylish, they are loyal to their dreams and ambitions, and most importantly they are totally head over-heels in love with one another. Their wedding was an absolute reflection of that.

I'm pretty sure Chris and I fell in love with their friends. We kind of felt like they were just an extension of our friends, great people, lots of laughs, people who don't take life too seriously. It was such fun.

Amy got ready at the Fairmont Hotel downtown Seattle. The ceremony & reception were held at Lake Union Cafe.... which might I add has delicious food ;)

Amy & Neal, thank you both so much for the good times at the wedding, we were honored to be there capturing it all for you two!

So for 2008 I made it one of my goals to second shoot with a couple of photographers who I really admire. Angelica Glass was the first chick I thought of. Her work is brilliant, free-thinking, and fantastical. There are only a handful of wedding photographer's who's work makes my jaw drop to the floor every time I see their stuff. Angelica is one of them. She is a beautiful person who loves people just as they are. She is strong, ambitious....she knows who she is, and she loves who she is.... I really love that in her.

So while Chris & I were out on the East Coast shooting a wedding of our own, Angelica let me join along and second shoot on one of her weddings on Long Island that was at a flippin' castle! Oheka Castle more specifically.... apparently, it is where Charlie Chaplin used to hang back in the day.

It is so good to second shoot whenever you get the opportunity. It is amazing the things that you can learn when you are given the opportunity to explore. Thank you so much Angelica for the good times on the Lower East Side and for the opportunity to tag alongside someone I love and admire as much as I do you ;)
