Stephanie & Kylan taught me a lot more about the important things in life at their wedding.
A) I learned to hug better - Kylan might be the worlds greatest hugger. When Kylan hugs someone, he really means it and you can feel the love.
B) I learned to laugh harder- Stephanie comes from a family of people who cherish laughing, like the kind of belly laughs that give you an ab workout. Those are the best kind.
C) I learned to smile bigger - One of my very favorite things about Steph and Kylan is their smiles when they look at one another or hear the other person's name. It is the kind of smile that is uninhibited, rich, and goes from ear to ear. I just LOVE it.
D) I learned a lot about humility - Stephanie & Kylan are the type of people who would take the shirt off their back for just about anyone. They are humble and treat people with compassion, love and understanding.
Bottom line is this, a lot of times you see peoples' true colors on their wedding day. The truth is, Stephanie and Kylan have lots of pretty colors in their rainbow :) We like them a lot. If I were stranded on an island somewhere I would want them with me.

Their wedding was a true reflection of them. It took place at the Lairmont Manor in Bellingham. These two met back in middle school and re-connected in college and well, the rest is history as they say. They had a beautiful outdoor ceremony on one of the prettiest days the northwest has ever seen. It was gorgeous and what a magical day it was!

Jessica & Colin were so excited to marry one another. It was adorable. They have been together for years and have deep roots. Right now they are gallivanting around Europe for a few weeks and exploring the world. These two had a great wedding in Bellingham a couple of weeks ago at Boundary Bay Brewery. It was our first time out to Bellingham and I think it's pretty safe to say that it is the ice cream capitol of the world. I have never seen so many ice cream places in my life. If I wasn't working I would have been double fisting some serious gelato ice cream the entire afternoon.

Lucky for us we got to spend the afternoon celebrating with Jessica & Colin and their wonderful friends and family. Look out for their amazing Smilebooth for some laughs later this week.

Leela & Edmund had a unique wedding where they incorporated Leela's Hindu roots through a traditional hindu ceremony early in the day and also had a Western ceremony to follow. Part one of their wedding was a beautiful hindu celebration and it be seen here. This was the second half of their day, it was a day packed full of beauty and goodness.

After Leela & Edmund wrapped their hindu ceremony they changed into their western attire and they had a beautiful backyard wedding on her fathers private estate. There is something so intimate and charming about backyard weddings. I've always loved them. Everyone in their family came together to decorate the backyard and flip it from the hindu ceremony to the western reception and it was just amazing to see.

The sun came and graced us with this yummy beautiful warm light immediately following their ceremony and I was in heaven. golden light = yum.

I think it's so lovely how they did both. They are obviously very committed to each other. Their mutual love and respect for each other's cultures is going to take them very far.

Leela & Edmund have "it."
They've got that magical something that makes a relationship last. Leela and Edmund have a relationship with depth, soul, spirituality and romance. These are the type of people who overcome obstacles in life with tenacity and come out on top. They have passion, charisma and joy. It was a true honor to celebrate their day with them in Maryland a couple of weeks ago.

Leela & Edmund had a beautifully unique wedding that payed homage to both of their roots. The start of the day was a hindu celebration and the second half of the day was a full western ceremony with a change of clothes and the whole nine :)

All of the colors at this wedding were a dream. I couldn't get enough of all of the beautiful little details that all had sentimental value. The way that this family knew how to celebrate was incredible. The dancing, the drums, the hena, the colors and ceremony, all of it was so inspiring to take in. Chris and I loved it.

These two are away on their honeymoon in, Thailand!! Every time someone goes to Thailand I want them to pack me up in their suitcase and take me along for the ride... I think I may have been a bit of a third wheel on a honeymoon trip ;)

Amazing photos, and what a lovely wedding!

Lisa says: Wednesday, July 14, 2010, 09:19 PM

Gorgeous! I also LOVE the almost kissing shot. It's so intimate and beautiful and made my heart do a little skip : )

Jono says: Wednesday, July 14, 2010, 09:04 PM

In all of the Bollywood movies I've watched, I don't remember any of them containing kissing. The frame you have of them almost kissing feels almost taboo to me! Within this context, it feels like you're pushing the envelope while being tastefully explicit about their intimacy. I love that depth.

the photo of Leela & Edmund in the woods sitting on the log is haunting. good haunting. so good.
