Jip & Megan are the type of people who light up a room. They have this intrinsic joy that radiates from them. It is physically hard not to smile when you are around them :) They see the world for all the possibility and hope that is posses and want to leave it a better place. They see the good in others and they choose to love even when it is hard.

These two got in touch with us about a year ago when they were just in the beginning stages of planning their destination event in Durango, Colorado. They met in Durango as camp counselors and have spent most of their summers there through college, so Durango is a very special place for them. I was so excited when they told me the story of how they met and where their wedding would be because ironically enough, I too was a counselor at the same camp in Durango when I was in college! I love Durango! It is a magical little place in the southwest settled in the mountains. It is beautiful. Megan & Jip had an outdoor wedding with a view that could take your breath away. There is something about the mountains that always puts me in my place and reminds me of how small I am in this giant big creation.

Megan wore her poppy's old cowboy boots for the wedding, they carried such special meaning to her since he wasn't able to be with them at the wedding. These two had a ceremony that was real, deep and so personal. When these two say something you know they mean it. We were so excited & honored to be a part of their big day. Cheers to you Megan & Jip!

My first conversation with Alesa & Brian was filled with talks of passion, soul, life and love. I fell in love with them immediately. These two love till it hurts, and let their hearts lead them through life. Their connection is so honest and real. I'm a firm believer in soulmates because I found mine, and this is a true case of two people finding their soulmate in this life. To see that in a couple is like seeing a glimpse of God himself. It is truly beautiful.

Chris and I feel so honored to be a part of Alesa & Brian's wedding at a private residence in Malibu. The day was perfect. Sunny. Delightful. Moving. Passionate. Inspiring. It was obvious that everyone in attendance loved these two deeply. There were so many moments that just captivated me throughout their day. Alesa's tenderness with her grandmother. The moment Brian's mother saw Alesa and her son for the first time and started to cry. Hearing their vows to one another at the ceremony.

This wedding was like a beautiful cinematic experience. It was similar to the feeling you get after watching a brilliant movie that makes you want to go and do something great with your life. The day started with that silent anticipation, moved into excitement and ended with a joyous party. Celebration would sum up this wedding well. The band they had play was by far the best wedding band we have ever had at an event, West Coast Music Impulse Band. And one of my very favorite California coordinators, Camilla, always makes weddings ten times more fun.

Enjoy Brian & Alesa!

Jesi & Teddy had a PartyBooth at their wedding. It was epic. These guys made my job easy ;) I love their friends. They know how to party. These are just a handful of favorites from their booth that made me laugh. enjoy.

In other news, we got back from Colorado late last night. We have a mountain of e mail to respond to, but will be tackling all of those later today, so those who have been patiently waiting, thank you!

We also have an interview about us and our work featured today on Fuel Photography's Site, you can check it out here: Interview with The Rhoads

We were also featured on Style Me Pretty this past week for Cristin & Harpur's fabulous Rehearsal Dinner

We're still in the process of un-packing and have been traveling like crazy people for weddings so I'm getting on track with my blogging everyday folks. Thanks for staying along for the ride. Back to your regularly scheduled programming... ;)

Jesi & Teddy are some of the most refreshing people in the world to be around. They never take life to seriously, they know how to have a good time and always leave room to laugh at themselves. These two are the type of couple who take time the morning after their wedding to write US an e mail saying thank you! As if they don't have a million other things on their plate! That act pretty much sums up the type of people these two are, they never cease to amaze us with their absolute thoughtfulness and compassion for others.

Their wedding was an honest and true reflection of them. Jesi isn't a girl that likes a lot of extra "frill & fluff" they are easy-going and their day spoke to that on a variety of levels. These two got married at one of our very favorite Seattle venues, Pravda Studios. The way light bounces around that place is a dream. If JCrew did wedding decor I think it would look something like this. Jesi & Teddy invited their guests into a lovely land of laid back charm with blue, white and grey accents throughout their reception. With chalkboards telling the guests where to sit to the yummy little plates of goodies that were baked and prepared, everything was just right.

Their wedding was like a day hanging out with old friends. Rich with laughter, joy and absolute happiness. Enjoy a little bit of Jesi & Teddy!
