I'm here with some of my girlfriends who also all happen to be photographers from all over. We pick a random city every year to go to and just spend time together, close up our shops for a week, bond and just take photos for ourselves.
oh. and we ride in hummers on big rocks.... more of that to come but you can check out the trip blog where some of us have been keeping up with our trip.... despite horrible wifi and cell service (which I think is a weird blessing in disguise).
We're staying in a giant cabin in the middle of nowhere that sleeps 20. It has taxidermy everywhere... it creeps me out a little bit but other than that the place is pretty sweet.

Thanks for the inspiration and affirmation Sarah. I've quickly become a fan of your work from a photographer friend of mines, Elton Anderson. We seem to have this same conversation every 3 months or so when we both become overwhelmed.

Very well said. I'm taking note of this post for sure. It's a great reminder for those of us who are hard workers...to be soft on ourselves and just slow down for long enough to see what we have accomplished.
