Theresa & Sermion are the type of people that just make you an all around happier person for having been around them. These two are full of spunk, zest and life. One of the most endearing qualities about these two is how Theresa's nose crinkles a little every time Sermion makes her laugh. It's obvious that she thinks he's the funniest guy on earth and that he thinks the world of her. Sermion is the protector and Theresa is his little gem. It's so darling.

I think Sermion might be the first man I have met that can give a true "bear hug." Theresa disappears in his arms when they embrace. His arms are about as big around as my thigh which is pretty stinkin' big. If I was having a bad day and needed a pick-me-up hug Sermion would be my go to guy. I think if he put a sign on his chest that said "Hugs for two dollars" he would have a pretty serious line-up and might become the worlds most loving millionaire. Sermion-you can thank me for that brilliant business idea later ;)

Theresa & Sermion wanted to shoot in some urban locations so we went down to the docks and then went over to where Chris and I got our photos taken about a year ago by our friend Jeff Newsom. I thought it would be perfect for them :) We had a blast. Cannot wait for your wedding in August guys!

Jesi & Teddy are the kind of people that just put you at ease. They laugh easily and love life. These two are down to earth and I really respect how they live their lives caring for others. Jesi & Teddy are both nurses and they met "on the job" :) I imagine it happening a lot like an episode of Grey's Anatomy. I suppose Teddy would be McDreamy and Jesi would be Dr. Grey haha. I presume nurse life doesn't quite play out like it does in the TV shows, but a girl can dream right?!

These two are getting married in June and we are so stoked for their wedding. It's hard to believe that wedding season is upon us! Time has flown by so quickly. It feels like just yesterday that we were sipping banana smoothies in Thailand! Our season kicks into full gear next weekend and I cannot wait! We have some of the greatest couples in the world and I feel so blessed beyond belief that I am able to live out my passion doing what I love.

For those who are curious about the unique indoor location, these were shot in the Seattle Public Library because it was raining so we opted for an indoor location. Anyone who comes to visit Seattle MUST put this on your list of things to do. It is by far the most uniquely designed library I have ever seen. Happy Wednesday!

Wow, the library made a great backdrop/environment for the shoot. It actually doesn't look much like a library, which makes even cooler. Fantastic images. Per usual, well done!

Karlie & Jordan have the longest standing relationship of any of our couples to date.  They have known one another since pre-school. Jordan's mom was Karlie's pre-school teacher! How cute is that? Little did she know that one day that cute little strawberry blonde girl would be her daughter in law.

It's oftentimes that you meet a couple that has been together as long as these two and they no longer have that "FIRE" for one another. We've all met couples like that. I was so impressed by the absolute love, admiration and passion these two have for one another. They definitely still had the fire :). Jordan and Karlie love life and breathe it in deep. They also cherish one another and laugh at each others jokes; two things that I personally think are crucial for any relationship with longevity.

These two value the finer things in life like good music, good beer and quality time together. Midway through our shoot the rain settled in and I loved how it didn't even phase them. It showed so much about their character. The hair getting wet didn't matter, the cold and wind didn't seem to bother them much either, they got what this was all about and I love people who have a big picture perspective like that.

I love the pallette of this entire shoot! The hands holding pine cones is oh oh oh so beautiful. You have these harsh prickly things with twigs held by such soft hands and embraced by the warm tones of her clothing and the ground. It's almost like she's holding a bird that just died and she's holding it with such reverence and appreciation. I love what this shot captures. Very well done guys!

Erin and Jason are deep wells. They are close to the earth and so deeply connected to one another. Capturing their love was a true honor. This is a couple who really invited me into their space and allowed me to see beautiful parts of their love for one another during their session. That takes a great deal of trust on their part. I feel so honored to know these two and be invited to share in their infectious love for one another. I walked away from my time with Erin and Jason with a more expansive heart and an even deeper affection for them.

Trust is such a crucial element to a successful photo shoot for us. Without it, photos feel lifeless. But with trust, images are filled with authenticity, sincere emotion, honesty and vision. The final goal for us as visual artists is that each of our images emanate with life, artistry and authenticity. To capture those beautiful moments requires a great deal of trust. It requires that our clients open up parts of themselves that they may not be used to sharing with others.... trust us enough to get those intimate and beautiful moments. It requires trusting the creative vision even if it requires doing something unique or odd. Trust goes both ways and it is something that is earned. We feel so grateful to have clients like Erin and Jason who trust us fully and completely.
