Sarah & Steve will make you laugh until your rolling on the floor. I walked away from their session with an entirely new set of abs I was unaware I possessed from laughing so hard. These guys started off as best friends back in college. Steve was there through many of Sarah's boyfriends giving her advice and the whole nine. He stuck by her side until she finaly woke up one day and realized how perfect Steve was for her. It sounds like a cute romantic comedy doesn't it?! Adorable. They are one of those couples that makes each other better by being together.

It goes something like this...
Steve looks at Sarah, Steve is smitten.
Sarah giggles at Steve, Sarah feels adored.
Steve and Sarah make each other better.
Steve and Sarah live happily ever after.

We are so excited to be a part of their wedding in Arizona this coming year. Good times will be had by all. Enjoy a few frames from their Seattle engagement session a couple of weeks ago!

Heather & Mitch make me smile. We just love these two. Our good friend, Jordan Butcher, connected the four of us, and we are so thankful he did! These two are humble, endearing, funny and just absolutely beautiful inside and out. We feel thankful to not only call them clients, but more importantly to call them friends :)

This shoot was magical on so many levels. First of all, I love the people on the other side of the camera. The light was pure YUMMINESS and Heather giggled every time I said the word "tummy" - awesome! lol (but the better question, why was I saying the word tummy to begin with?! ). We took these two downtown for an urban feel and then went out to frolic in the fields together at sunset ;) . When I saw the light I DIED. It was pure perfection. Have I told you recently how much I love what I do?! It's these kind of shoots that I get lost in... I get so tied up in it all.... Heather & Mitch, their amazing connection, the light, the fact that my hubs was right beside me.... I almost have to pinch myself. I feel so grateful for these beautiful people that trust us and give us the freedom to dance.

Thank you Heather & Mitch for being wonderfully you.

The one color shot through the trees has me gasping! Your use of light and shadow in the urban portion are dead on, and the outdoor shots really captivate me emotionally. Another dang awesome shoot from you guys.

GAH! I didn't think it was possible ... but this is my new fave e-session from you. EVER. Love how, even though you are so amazing already, you keep raising your own bar. Love the new stuff here ... like the hands framing the faces, and the shadows in the parking lot and up the side of the building. Also love all the shooting through the branches etc. Hearts times a million gajillion a billion 100 trillion tons and more.

Kayko & Doug are so absolutely in love with one another. It was so cute to see how Doug adores and serves Kayko. Kayko sings Doug's praises. It's obvious she feels like the luckiest girl in the world to have found such a great guy. These two make each other giddy, they radiate joy, life, energy and charisma. We are so excited to go to Greece this year to shoot their wedding! What an honor it will be to photograph the wedding of two people who love each other as much as these two in such a magical place!

After their wedding in Greece they are going on a three week surf trip all over Asia! How wicked awesome is that?! These two are big surfers, but Kayko describes it best when she said, "My favorite waves to catch are the ones I have Doug push me into :)" We both died laughing. Surfing is a tough sport so I respect anyone who can do it well. These two are adventure seekers to the max and I love the way they live their lives. They don't let one moment pass them by. These two are the type of people who dream big and love big! We found kindred spirits in these two.
Enjoy the beautiful Kayko and Doug!

Katherine & Craig booked us for their Rhode Island wedding almost a year ago. The second I talked to them on the phone I knew this was going to be a great fit. These two are people that value photography as the most important thing at their wedding, they love life, they are passionately in love, they too are artists and they caught the vision behind what Chris and I do. Katherine and Craig are both extremely talented graphic artists and also have a photography business as well. They came into Seattle for the weekend for their engagement session and gave Chris and I complete and total freedom throughout their shoot. They just kept saying, "We trust you guys!" There is no greater feeling than to work with people that trust your creative vision.

These two were staying at the Ace Hotel while they were visiting, so we shot a few in their room and then headed out on a little Seattle adventure around town. Whenever anyone visits Seattle for the first time I feel like it is my duty to show them all the brilliance that this city is made of. I'm proud to say that we're responsible for at least three Seattle converts (i.e. people who were living someplace else and came to visit and left with a signed lease in Seattle). I pretty much want all the people that I love to come out here because once they do they wont ever want to leave... unless of course they come in February :)

I was having a pretty crumby day the day of their shoot (crumby by my melodramatic standards anyway). But once my hands wrapped around my camera it's like all of the small frustrations of my day dissipated and I was given a new perspective. I was so overwhelmingly grateful. We wrapped the shoot and all I could say was "I'M SO SO THANKFUL to be doing what I do!" There are those beautifully clear moments where we are able to see things as they are and we realize that the little frustrations are of no consequential value in the big scheme of things.  It is in those transparent moments of truth we are reminded of what matters; family, friends, passion, truth and love. I feel so grateful that every time I pick up my camera I am reminded to be grateful. We have so much to be grateful for :)
