Another beautiful set!!! I especially love the last shot. It really seals the entire portfolio and captures the loving energy very nicely!
LOVE the Rottie. a Mini Rottie.... so cute
OMG that and great and I heart them!!!!!!!!!!!!!
there is so much movement and emotional substance in these images. you guys just keep getting better at making that happen. wow.
My Dearest Team Rhoads - thank you are two words with a massive meaning. In all honesty, I don't have fancy enough words in my vocab that properly relay how much joy excitement appreciate and gratitude these images bring to us. THANK YOU is all I've got for now. Fingers crossed in 6 mths I'll have more ;) Happy Birthday CR!
Okay the 4th photo of the dog in your "Face" on the grass rocks.. I love that one.. But more than anything the 2nd to the last with couple in front of the tree is the most solid image. Because it represents "Strength, Roots, Something that stands the test of time" all that is said in that image which is a great thing to see when a couple is joining in a life long adventure such as "Marriage" ...
Marissa!!! you look so beautiful! these are such great photos!
Love, love, love! What a fun engagement shoot! I can almost hear Marissa's laugh in some of them! And I love how the kiddos were included!
Whoa! I was trippin' out reading this post! First, my name is also Marissa. I'm 5' 1" and my husband also proposed on our two year anniversary! So weird! haha! Anyway, gorgeous photos, the last one is amazing!
These two are adorbs to the tenth power! Love this series. I can't wait to find a guy, fall in love and have you take our pictures. Seriously.
xox
these are too cool!!! i'm in love with these dogs, they are adorable... and the 3th frame e AWESOME :) :)
Great session....love the movement in some of them! Sweet couple!
Awesome stuff, Sarah. I love the B&W conversions -- Raised blacks rock! Great set :)
Most creative engagement photo session I have ever had the pleasure to gaze at.
Sweet images - dig the shoes out of the window and the couple blowing the dandelions. BTW - I also love the scrolling feature on the blog!
beautiful photos, sarah! loooooove the one with the couple in the mirror - how very clever you are! love the last one too, esp. the little smile on her face. :)
Wow! These pictures bring tears to my eyes as a Mom. Each photo is so precious, capturing their warmth and love for each other! Thanks, Sarah!
I love singing like no one is listening!! The three that intrigued me the most were the steering wheel one, them in the mirror, and them with their hoods up and that lovely gooey light. Keep up the good work!
these shots are amazing. i love the prop ;) what a rad couple! the second to last photo reminds me of the wallflowers - we could drive around with one headlight......
Love the image with them in the mirror. Great job! Also awesome talking to you last night. Lets plan dinner when we both get back :)
d
The one with the steering wheel in the foreground is great! I'm sure Andrea and Jeremiah love all these photos.
oh my!!! i can't even pick a favorite. you've stolen my heart once again with your photography.
Beautiful! Absolutely love your style!
love this e-session! My favorite frame is the one of them in the car mirror. Loved what you said about the guy at the stoplight. I always bust out when I'm driving but once I come to a stop I'm completely silent! I need to get over my embarrassment and embrace it! Thank you Sarah!!
Beautiful pix! I love how you make an engagement session look like an editorial from a magazine! And I love the image of the guy singing Frank Sinatra in his convertible!
Fantastic!!! These are such sincere, fun photos! I always enjoy looking at your work. Thank you for sharing and telling such beautiful stories!
Love these shots...the one inside the car with the steering wheel...LOVE IT!
This is a beauty full post - just creative and cool and soulful and deeply personal - love love love.
i love the honesty and uniqueness of these. and the way you capture the light and the story you tell. it looks like a scene from a beautiful, relaxed day and a happy couple in love.
Seriously LOVE this session. The sunlight, the colors, the car, the people, everything is so perfect! The one through the windshield with the reflections of the trees is my favorite. I always look forward to your pictures!
Wow..such amazing portraits! I love everything you wrote as well! I always think of a song by Straylight Run (Existentialism on Prom Night) that encourages everyone to sing like no ones listening and I remember driving home late at night from the movies or beach in highschool, no one on the road, hand out the window, past curfew, singing this on the top of my lungs and how free I felt. Your words flooded my mind with that memory. =)
Nice. Makes me want to take a drive with my sugar baby.
...by.far.my.favorite.blog.post.ever. ...!!!
These photos are definitely some of my favourite engagement photos ever! I'm always blown away by your work and how connected you are to your clients.
Love this times a million. The images, and the writing, as always.

So much colour and texture in every image. Story about the post-it notes makes me appreciate the shot even more. Awesome job!
I love how you capture so much of the couple's personality in their photos. The sticky notes will be a memory of theirs forever I'm sure. ...and now there's a beautiful photo to commemorate it. Beautiful! Love them all!

Love it!
They look so in tune with each other. Great job uncovering and capturing that, Sarah.
I love how emotional these photographs exude. I read a few posts ago that you attended and spoke at Jesh's Beloved Workshop. Must've been mind-blasting eh? :)
ok. my all time favorite. so emotionally charge, and that connection they have... this series is simple and so beautiful. it shows how stripping down to the basics can be more powerful than anything else.
You have a new blog stalker! This is stunning...
The second last shot takes my breath away. There's something very 'fairytale' about it. She looks like sleeping beauty : )These photos are so full of genuine emotion. Love them!
Kudos on keeping up with the regular blog posts. Definitely makes my net time way more enjoyable. Always gorgeous always inspiring.
I absolutely LOVE the emotion in all of these images! Just beautiful.
Hi Sarah, I've been following for a while.. first time to comment. Your work is amazing, and so inspiring. Each session you post becomes my new favorite!
I agree with the previous commenter. The first and last images are so powerful. Gave me chills.
This is lovely. I can't decide whether it's because Erin looks so familiar to me for just because of this series that I feel like I know them. But really, I wish that I could place why she looks like someone I should know.
I especially love the first and last images - so beautiful!
