While we were in Chicago we had the pleasure of hanging out with Meggan & Blake and shooting some engagements for them! They really wanted to capture the city where their love blossomed so we started out in some central areas of Chicago on some really neat bridges and then moved to their future neighborhood that they are moving to once they get married, Wicker Park, which just happens to be my very favorite neighborhood in Chicago! So fun! Oh and yes, we did get on a roof in Lincoln Park for some of these... it was ridiculously awesome.

Meggan & I met my freshman year of college. I had just moved from Chicago to Oklahoma to attend college. Needless to say, I didn't have very many friends who wanted to move down to Oklahoma to go to college with me.... leaving me quite friendless for a season. My mom felt bad for me sulking around all the time, so she decided to get me some guitar lessons at DaddyO's. While she was there that day she ran into Meggan & Jamie.

I ended up running around with the two of them for a lot of my freshman year of college.
When I didn't know anyone and was quite destitute in the "friend department" that is where Meggan came in.  That is just the type of person Meggan is. Generous, kind hearted, a Lover. I feel very grateful for her and Jamie's complete kindness to me during that season of my life. They were the very first friends I had in Oklahoma!

Anyhow, I am so happy for my sweet friend Meggan to have met such a perfect fella to spend her life with. Blake is so charming, chivalrous and sacrificial in his love to Meggan. They have created a beautiful little life for themselves in Chicago and I cannot wait to see the great many places they will go and the things they will do! Love you guys!

I love this shoot! I love that you shoot so wide on many shots so that your couples have such a variety to choose from. In such a beautiful city I would love to have an image of the architecture where most people would have to search for me in the image! She is lucky to have friends like you!!!

Autumn Reeser & Jesse Warren are some of the most talented people I know. Autumn is a stellar actress and Jesse is a director/writer/producer. They have so much chemistry together it is ridiculous!!!

For those of you that are O.C. fans, Autumn played Taylor Townsend on the show and has been in quite a few other shows & movies that we fancy over at the Rhoads abode. I am especially excited to see Autumn play in the upcoming season of Entourage, she was recently cast on the HBO comedy and it is one of Chris's very favorite shows.

When we were in the L.A. area we shot some engagements for these two. We went to the Westwood area, where Autumn & Jesse's love came alive and even shot at the park where they first dropped the big L-bomb with one another :). After that we headed down to Venice Beach where the two of them like to skate/run together, so Autumn busted out her snazzy skates for the occasion. It was so stinkin' fun... I love when I get to go places with couples that mean something to them. Jesse & Autumn know how to have a good time and Chris and I left feeling like we had two new friends. Enjoy some frames from these two cuties.... there are a couple images in here that might be my favorites of all time. ;)

We are so excited about our travel opportunities for weddings/shoots etc. Below are the cities and locations we are headed to and when. If you have an interest in any kind of shoot while we are in your area, lifestyle family sessions, engagements, kids, band work etc. please shoot us an e mail. Drop us a line and we would love to chat!

We have been getting a lot of e mails from photographers recently asking about how we do things, how to process images, working with clients, and photography in general. It is so very humbling in a lot of respects, mostly because I have been in those shoes with lots of questions myself. I wish there was more time in my day to personally respond with all kinds of answers to each of you but most of the questions are quite loaded. We're starting to officially offer one-on-one mentor sessions that range anywhere from 2 hours to 8 hours. If you are a photographer and have an interest in setting something like that up while we are in your area please e mail us for more info.

Meet beautiful Cadence & Eli. These two were in my girl Eliesa's Photogen-inc 's Vegas posse :). Eliesa and I had talked a lot before we went down to Vegas and decided we just wanted to do a fun little casual shoot in the fremont district in old town Vegas. It was so super fun, we invited along some of our other girlfriend photographers to join in the fun...It is always so great to shoot with other photographers, the energy and the different approaches/styles and perspectives all come out and it challenges me to think outside of my "comfort box" it was really great for me to do. Enjoy a little bit of the tastiness that is Cadence & Eli in all of their royal-vegas sassy-ness ;) They brought the style, they brought the funk & I absolutely ate it up!
