How many weddings do you book a year?
We only take a maximum of 25 weddings per year. This insures that each of our clients receives the proper attention to detail from start to finish.
Do you travel for Weddings & Portrait Sessions?
Absolutely, we love to travel and see new places. We take commissions throughout the year to a variety of unique destinations.
What kind of equipment do you photograph with?
Sarah Rhoads Photographers uses Canon Professional gear. We are continually investing in new and innovative equipment to provide our clients with the best image quality possible.
Do we get the high-resolution files?
Yes, the High Res digital files on disc are available in all of our wedding packages; and they are delivered upon receiving your album. Images are selected and edited at the Photographers' discretion. Artists' reserve the right to edit and release only those images deemed creditable as professional in quality and within the Photographers' artistic standards.
How many images do you end up with for most weddings?
We average somewhere between 50-70 images per hour- which is more than a photo per minute! You can rest easy knowing your event will be very well documented!
What is required to book my date?
We require 50% down along with your contract to book the date. The final 50% is due 4 weeks prior to the wedding date. Please remember that dates are limited. They are first-come, first-serve - upon the receipt of a contract and reservation fee. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
Do you have insurance?
Absolutely. We have coverage through a comprehensive, multi-insurance carrier, endorsed by Wedding & Portrait Photographers International (WPPI).
How long does it take to receive my prints and album?
We process orders on a first-come, first-serve basis. Generally you should allow 3-5 weeks for all print orders for editing/printing/delivery time. Also note that any order received after November 15th is not guaranteed to be completed in time for Christmas. Please be prepared to get your order in early if you want prints as Christmas gifts. Our albums take approximately 3-6 months to complete. These albums are custom-designed by us and hand crafted by the best album company in the nation.

When selecting your photographer remember that a professional photographer is more than someone who simply takes pictures. We capture memories that tell a story, your story, which will last a lifetime. You are investing in photographic art. Session FAQ
What is included in our session?
Our sessions include up to 90 minutes of shooting on location within 30 miles of Seattle unless another location is arranged beforehand. If you need some ideas on locations, don't worry we have plenty of suggestions! We also allow our clients to pick a location that might be special to them. Your online ordering gallery will be posted 2-6 weeks after your session is shot. The online gallery is where you can order all prints and other products. All products, including individual digital files, prints, albums & canvas wraps are available for purchase รก la carte unless otherwise noted in your package. The artists' reserve the right to select the images included in the gallery. Images are selected and edited at the Photographers' discretion and reserve the right to edit and release only those deemed creditable as professional in quality and within the Photographers' artistic standards. If a high res disc of session images is purchased by the client the disc includes the images included in the client gallery (between 50-125 images are typically delivered on a session disc).
What should I wear to the engagement session?
Your session allows for two outfits total. Bright colors are always great. Being comfortable and being yourself is the most important thing. If you need any further direction, take a look at all of the cuties in the "Lifestyle" gallery on our web site.
What do we do if it is raining on the day of our session?
Generally if it is just a light mist, we will proceed with the session. Bring along an umbrella just in case! Typically, we take couples inside local coffee shops, under awnings etc. until the rain passes. However, in the case of heavy downpours we will re-schedule the session for another time. Despite what some people may think, cloudy days are fantastic for photos!
