To me inspiration comes from hard times. I started my photography with a friend who's house burnt down and she lost her senior pictures at the time. I told her I had a nice camera and we could give her a make over and take some photos to distract her from her loss. That was over 7 years ago, and here I am inspired by how amazing other photographers are and how BADLY I want to get even better! I do photogrphy for less fortunate families and for people who may not otherwise be able to have a "professional" at their event. Its filled with passion, heart, smiles and most importantly the challenge of never being "the best" but always being inspired and not discouraged by what other photographers do! We are all in it together!

My inspiration can come from various things... textures, fabrics, photography, music, fashion, nature, quotes, etc. Some of my biggest inspirations are simply life's experiences. We all face different circumstances and decisions, and those moments are what direct us down our paths in life, and shape who we become. THOSE moments are my inspirations. It often seems that even the hardest, toughest, more desperate times are the ones where I learn the most from, and find hope and inspiration in.

I am still a beginner, so it seems that everything is inspiring my creativity lately! Everything I see I want to photograph now. there are so many different things that inspire me but one of them is design. i love going to the library to the design section and looking at what all the great design masters have done...this ALWAYS makes me want to do better!

what inspires me? well....lots:) but I think that one thing that really inspires me is just being outside, weather i'm in nature or downtown, walking around. music also really inspires me, especially classical!, because there are no lyrics--you get to imagine everything in the "plot" of the music, the costuming, the set, the colors, the characters. it really gets my creative juices flowing! :)

I love this bag! I am always on the hunt for the perfect travel bag that isn't too large but can still fit my camera and all my other goodies. Art inspires me. In other people's work I see possibilities, different perspectives, the opportunity to expand. It challenges me.

And also the people that I photograph inspire me. We photograph people from different backgrounds and cultures. Hearing the stories of people who have faced a life of hardship, learning from them and having the opportunity to capture dignity, strength, hope and beauty in them is always an honor and a reason to be inspired.

I'd love to win a bag! the thing that really inspires me to creativity is capturing that moment that truly embodies a person. I mean, when someone can look at a picture and say "that is soooo ______" that makes me smile. It's the moments in life worth capturing that makes us as photographers aspire to develop and fine tune our skills.

I am inspired by brushstrokes and textures. "Do something" and then reacting to what happens can be a fun and challenging experience.

My oldest is on the autism spectrum, and is always working on a fabulously odd project or idea. Thinking outside the box is his way of thinking. He inspires my work to be unique, to break the rules, to shoot when the light isn't great, to embrace what I see as beautiful even if no one else "gets it".

One thing that inspires me to be creative, especially within the parameters of photography, is a story. But really in every aspect of my life, the story behind something and that being made evident or expressed is what inspires my passions and desire to be creative. Within my photographs I like to paint a picture of the story of a couple or a family, to tell the story of a band playing THEIR stories for an adoring audience. My favorite books and movies are those based on characters and dialog and the expression of.... their stories. When I design or decorate a room I like to include artwork and brick-a-brake that tells the story of my life, travels, and the love my husband and I share. When I talk with friends I want to hear, THEIR STORIES! When I sob while reading the news or watching a sappy commercial it's the stories of someone's life that touches me. In everything, I am most ignited, and inspired by the telling and portraying of a story.

this might sound strange, but adversity can sometimes inspire me. when there is an overwhelming problem going on in my world, it typically causes me to stop whatever craziness was happening and take stock (i have a meltdown, of course) + then i break through barriers i hadn't known i could break through. less intensely...i adore the rain, the way it smells, the way it feels on my face, the way it makes everything look fresh + shiny....rainfall always sparks my creativity.

The spirits of my subjects always inspire me. From a personality shining through a smile or smirk to the sun casting its shadow across a landscape the challenge of capturing one's spirit is what inspire me to continue picking up my camera and represent the world around me.

Oooh I love these bags and don't yet have one! Let's see, lately I've found myself so inspired by really good cinematography. The way something is shot, the way the camera pans, the story it tells by the way it is shot that goes beyond the actual plotline of the story.... things that are shot outside of the norm and push boundaries of what we're used to seeing. That's really inspiring to me :)

Silly to say, but routine inspires my creativity. I think best when things are organized, because I don't have to worry about the unpredictable, thus allowing my mind to wander.

Anthropologie inspires me. Their store, their clothes, their decor. I love it all. I adore vintage anything and the style of the 50s and 60s inspires me. Also, Mad Men. Watching children play sparks my creativity -- there's something about how they throw themselves into their own world that makes me want to do the same. Runner up to that is probably anything minimilistic. . . clutter keeps me distracted, but removing it frees my mind.

One thing that inspires my creativity is a beautiful color palette. Not only can color represent an array of emotions, it can give life and depth to a photo. I also find that learning about your clients on a personal level allows you to increase your level of creativity. No one couple, child, or family is alike which makes the job fun!

Being alone is what inspires my creativity. I am a mother of 3 and a husband to 1. My full time job other than photography, is motherhood. It is the largest blessing I have ever known. One thing that is hard during the motherhood is being alone, it's rare. When I get alone I have space to dream. To imagine. To create.

I find inspiration in my grandmother's face wrinkles. It makes me wonder about her life and inspires me to live mine to the fullest.

People inspire me. They are all so different, every colour of the rainbow. I am inspired by the smallest details of their lives - the rings on their fingers or the curl of their hair. I am inspired by the stories that you can see in those details. They make my life richer, and I grow a little bit every time I get to know a new person.

I am inspired by the look of true love in someone's eyes. I melt seeing couples, whether young puppy love, newlyweds, or grandparents with that spark in their eye. There's just something about that look that they give eachother, the secret shared between just the two of them, that no one else can fully understand the charisma between the two. The one thing that inspires my creativity in my photography and in my music is my lovely and intelligent girlfriend (and near future fiance! :D ) She has inspired me to see the world in a way both uncritically and imaginatively which I was never able to on my own as a lonely single fellow. All I have to do is think of her and her love and belief in me and I feel like I can accomplish any task I put my mind to.

Especially Seven Brides for Seven Brothers :) The dance scenes, the songs, the costumes, everything about them has really challenged me to go for the cheesiest poses I can think of, because sometimes it's in the cheesiest moments (and the moments right after) where you get to see the lighter side of people.

....Coaching high school girls volleyball. I have the brightest group of young women-just coming into their own (self, style, personality). I'm inspired to see how they are growing not only in their volleyball skills but in how they interact with each other as well as how the lessons they learn in volleyball transfer over into their school life and home life.

...I find inspiration through conversations with my dad. Each day we have a debrief- a quick call on my way to work or after practice. Or a long conversation that lasts from the drive home until I park my car in the garage, walk up to my attic bedroom and sit. Each conversation is different and he daily challenges me to 'think bigger'.

I find my inspiration through Christ and my husband. When you think about all the beautiful things He created for us you can't help but want to grab your camera to capture them! My husband is one of those men who runs right beside me soaking in all the beauty. Each and every moment we capture is a new memory for us or someone else and that is a great feeling!

I've never really considered myself to be a creative type. I love to travel, I love light, nature, and good food. All of those things inspire me to keep my camera around and to take as many photos, write as many poems, and sketch as many images as I can. So, travel, food, life, and friends inspire me to be creative.

Having a non-obvious camera bag would be SO nice! I would take my camera so many more places knowing it was safe in this bag!

Ahhh I've been wanting the mimi for so long! What keeps me inspired in my wedding photo biz is looking back at the early pioneers of photography (Cartier-Bresson, Walker Evans, Dorothea Lange, especially as a woman) when it was at it's purest form, and seeing the proof that equipment, fancy lighting and new technology isn't what makes a photograph great- it's the eye behind it.

How hard to name one thing that inspires my creativity! A good book, a good movie, MUSIC, other creative people, nature... However, if I had to choose one at this current time in life, it is no doubt my precious new baby daughter! Everything about her inspires me, her smile, her giggle, the way she sleeps, every breath she takes, the way she gazes at me, her eyes, EVERYTHING!! Being a Mom has inspired me to start shooting again. Where fear had stolen my joy of shooting, she has restored it! A nice bag would compliment my new attitude and excitement to shoot!

my biggest inspiration has to be the outdoors though. there's nothing better than fresh air and clearing your mind.

I work as a photo editor and as a freelance photographer by night :) so the work of photographers I work with every day inspires me SO much. their drive and dedication is endlessly motivating, sometimes I don't know how they keep on going when they face really difficult situations, but somehow they do and they continue to make beautiful images and they'll go right back in to the field a few weeks later and do it all over again. when I find my motivation waning, I think about them!

I've recently started doing weddings, and I find the most inspirational thing for my creativity is the way a bride and groom look at each other when they don't know I'm watching. Whenever I am feeling low on ideas or inspiration, I will go float around the site a bit and get some great ideas for things I can do. I am inspired when I am present in the moment. If I just take the moment to breathe and take in my surroundings, the images start to form in my mind and I am hopefully lucky enough to be carrying my camera with me (hence why this bag would be great and I must look into getting one if I win or not!)
