It's a sad day in Japan today. The devastation of a massive 8.9-magnitude earthquake and tsunami are in full effect. It was hard to believe what I was watching on the news last night. Thoughts and prayers are going out to the people and families of Japan but I was also thinking this morning about what we could do to help. I have received several emails in the past about ordering some of the prints from our travels. So today we have the gallery set up with some of our personal photos that are available for purchase. For the next two weeks 100% of the proceeds will go to a Disaster Response Fund at World Vision. World Vision is an incredible organization who works around the world helping children and families in difficult situations. These donations will go towards getting emergency supplies like food, clean water, medical supplies and shelter to survivors.
So every time you purchase a print you are helping families who are hurting in the community of Japan. Here is where you can go to check out Perspectives Gallery we set up for this, all prints can be ordered directly through that site. It is often so hard to know what to do in times like this. Prayers and thoughts are powerful things but it is also so nice to be able to give towards a reputable organization that has hands and feet on the ground floor. Humanity bands together in times of turpitude and an extended hand towards our brothers and sisters around the world is a great act of love.
