Meet Calvin & Vanessa. They are our new friends who we love. We'll be shooting their wedding next year in California and it's going to be awesome. They came up from the Bay area to do their engagement session with us here in Seattle, we had a blast together. These two are super talented artists & designers. We hit it off over the phone a few months ago, sparks flew, emotions ran high, and the rest is history.

This couple and shoot is right in our sweet spot. Here's why- It is people totally comfortable in their own skin, they've got great chemistry together... nothing about this is insincere. These two have been together for six years and still laugh easily at one another. They know what they like and they also know what they DONT like. I like people with opinions. Opinions make the world interesting and I've got a few of them myself ;). They've got great personal style and we can talk pop culture with them for hours. (Calvin is my "music" guy- he introduced me to the band XX before they were anybody). Bottom line is this... these two are amazing people that make the world more interesting and beautiful by just being them.

On a personal note, my momma and aunt have been in town from Oklahoma for this week so I have had a lot of fun showing them around Seattle and being a tourist in my own city. It has been a blast! Today we are going hiking up in Mount Rainier and I cannot wait to spend the day away from all the hustle and just enjoying being with people I love. Have an amazing day kids!

Were some of these taken at the Ace hotel? I definitely stayed in that room in the summer! What a gorgeous shoot and a great couple!

It's a good thing that they do not check photographers for steroids because it's a little suspicious that you guys knock it out of the park every time! Great work as always.

I think this may very well be my favorite photo session that I have ever seen in my life, and that says a lot because I look at too many blogs, too many times a day.

First of all, they are ADORABLE. Like dreamy adorable. I love their glasses, and shoes!

Second, I don't understand how you have so much talent in your body! I love the warm and comfortable vibe these photos give off!

Good job!

The shot where they're on the couch, reading national geographics, with the light streaming in from the window and the cards on the floor. LOVE!
