Mary Frances & Scott are a slice of life. I first met Mary at the WPPI convention last year, being a photographer herself, she approached me outside the trade-show and literally brought tears to my eyes. Mary shared with me how our work has inspired her and her husband (Scott).... and shared her love story with me and I instantly felt like I had met a kindred spirit. Mary really encouraged me during a time when I really needed it. Compliments may be thrown around a lot but when you know that it comes from a place of real generosity and sincerity there is a beautiful power in that word of life. Mary is one of the most thoughtful, passionate, free-spirited ladies you'll ever meet. Her and Scott actually remind me a lot of Chris and I and I adore them.
When it came time to schedule a shoot for an 8 hour mentor session I had here in Seattle with awesome photographer, Mary Wyar, I posted about needing a couple to model and Mary Frances and Scott responded with a very heartfelt letter and I knew they would just be a perfect fit. So they hoped in their car and drove up from Southern Cali and brought the fun. I'm pretty sure the two Mary's hit it off as well and are now buddies. I just love when that happens!
You will instantly be able to see the amazing connection Mary & Scott have with one another. They are so in love it's amazing. Connection is so very important when doing what we do as photographers. I am entrusted to communicate each couples' love stories authentically and uniquely to the world... That is a BIG job that I take uber seriously. It requires a lot of trust and chemistry. We definitely had that goin' on the day of this shoot! Mary even brought her cruiser bike down along with some of their vintage camera's and Scott's guitar. I love when my couples bring little things that mean something to them. It's always fun to find ways to incorporate them into the shoot.
So I could talk on and on about these two and the wonderful time I had with Mary Wyar on her Mentor session (more to come on that)....but I know this is a photoblog and you're really just wanting to get to the "meat" of all this... so without further adieu enjoy the eye candy of Mary & Scott...

I love Mary and Scott!! I met them when they shot a wedding I was in back home in CA and we ended up sitting and talking through most of the reception. They did a shoot with us too and they're two totally amazing people! They were excited for this shoot and I'm so happy to see awesome photos came out of it! Wooo hooo!!!

Your style is just absolutely gorgeous and you just have a knack of making people feel comfortable in front of the camera. Oh my goodness...Sarah. I just got a text from my friend saying the pictures were up and I instantly got butterflies. I headed over to the blog and my eyes welled up with tears. You captured Scott and I and our love. Thank you so much for everything...I can't even put into words how thankful, grateful, amazed we are with the wonderful experience you and Chris offered us. I fell more in love with Scott during this session and I just fell even more in love with him when looking at these images ( which i looked at about 10 times, showed everyone around me and then looked at them some more privately).
Your talent is amazing. Your heart is so full of life and passion for love.It really shows in everything you do.I truly feel proud of you guys and am so happy for the amazing things that have happened and are going to continue happening for you both.
