So my best friend, Jenice, is pregnant. As most of you know maternity's aren't really something I do very often, but I really wanted to give my bestie something to remember her 2nd pregnancy with, so we did it our own way.....  No naked bodies wrapped in tulle, none of this 'window-lit-wrapped-in-cloth' business. That's not the way I like to roll for this sort of thing ;)

The whole fam, Chris, Jenice & Jack came out for the shoot; we ran around on the beach and soaked up this amazing Seattle sun. Jack is our little Godson who Chris & I adore, you might want to eat his face if you look at him for too long. He's just that cute. Like sooo cute that, candidly, I'm slightly worried about child number two having a complex ;) but I'm sure baby numero dos will be equally as adorable.

There are seasonal friendships and their are lifelong friendships. Someone once told me that at the end of your life you will be lucky if you can count on one hand the amount of true friends you have. Well Jenice & Chris will be two fingers on that hand when I'm old and crumbly. They are true, loyal, lifelong friends. Thick & Thin kind of friends. Love each other unconditionally kind of friends. Celebrate holiday's together kind of friends. The kind of people that you can count on and trust with anything. Not everyone is blessed with lifelong friends like Jenice & Chris.... I feel very humbled and grateful when I think about everything we have been through together over the past seven years, and I am especially thankful they moved out to Seattle last year, life just wouldn't be the same without them ;)

So excited for lil' baby to pop its head into this world, any day now!

Love these! She is so gorgeous. The pic with the soccer ball makes me smile - I like the belly-ball comparison.

I have been looking everywhere for a while now for some really inspiring maternity portraits. These are it. They are beautiful and family oriented and so so honest. I can't stop looking at them.

I love these. I'm not into the tulle look either. I was scrolling through and thought, "that boy looks familiar" and then realized that's Lauren's little neph. He IS adorable. Beautiful pictures Sarah.

She is VERY blessed to have a friend to give her such an amazing gift! :) I love the images. I try to steer clear of the backlit, gauzy maternity's too. ;) Love how REAL these are!

THANK YOU SARAH!! Once again you have given me inspiration! I have a maternity shoot tomorrow and I DO NOT want to wrap her body in gauze and white linen! I just want her to be natural...and you have demonstrated how beautiful natural can be! YOU ROCK GIRL!!
