While we were in Chicago we had the pleasure of hanging out with Meggan & Blake and shooting some engagements for them! They really wanted to capture the city where their love blossomed so we started out in some central areas of Chicago on some really neat bridges and then moved to their future neighborhood that they are moving to once they get married, Wicker Park, which just happens to be my very favorite neighborhood in Chicago! So fun! Oh and yes, we did get on a roof in Lincoln Park for some of these... it was ridiculously awesome.
Meggan & I met my freshman year of college. I had just moved from Chicago to Oklahoma to attend college. Needless to say, I didn't have very many friends who wanted to move down to Oklahoma to go to college with me.... leaving me quite friendless for a season. My mom felt bad for me sulking around all the time, so she decided to get me some guitar lessons at DaddyO's. While she was there that day she ran into Meggan & Jamie.
I ended up running around with the two of them for a lot of my freshman year of college.
When I didn't know anyone and was quite destitute in the "friend department" that is where Meggan came in. That is just the type of person Meggan is. Generous, kind hearted, a Lover. I feel very grateful for her and Jamie's complete kindness to me during that season of my life. They were the very first friends I had in Oklahoma!
Anyhow, I am so happy for my sweet friend Meggan to have met such a perfect fella to spend her life with. Blake is so charming, chivalrous and sacrificial in his love to Meggan. They have created a beautiful little life for themselves in Chicago and I cannot wait to see the great many places they will go and the things they will do! Love you guys!

Great Session Sarah. I'm new to your blog, but love your work. Fave shot is where Blake's chasing Meggan across the rooftop. Awesome.
I'm obsessed with the last three shots!!
Nice. I really like the shot of the couple seen through the bridge supports.

I love this shoot! I love that you shoot so wide on many shots so that your couples have such a variety to choose from. In such a beautiful city I would love to have an image of the architecture where most people would have to search for me in the image! She is lucky to have friends like you!!!
BEAUTIFUL!
Love the "Where is the couple?" shots! and you really capture chicago's spirit aka the wind XD
Drooling over here.. your photos are just divine! I have to search every corner of your photo to take everything in. Gorgeous couple too!
Some fun framing fun-ness. And, love the second to last shot!
Michael: haha!! I was hoping some of you would appreciate those ;) I know I did. I was amazed I got the car shot... it was going about 40 miles per hour past me.
Olivia: All these shot in noon day sun on a ridiculously sunny day in Chicago... Session was 12:30-2:30ish.
Ok, you get 1,000 points for all the awesome photos, but you get an additional 1,000,000,000 points for the 'hidden couple' photos!!!! It was like a "where's waldo'!! Those are awesome!!!!
These are awesome, dear! What a great job capturing the city. Can I ask what time of day you shot? Please come back so you can take some photos of me. :)
