Luna contacted me about 8 months ago about shooting their Parsons Garden ceremony & intimate Canlis Reception wedding. Alas, we were already booked for their date but Luna & Yanda still wanted to capture engagement photos together!

I must say, if Chris and I were to get married all over again in Seattle, an intimate ceremony at Parsons Park (which is down the street from our house) and a delicious reception to follow at Canlis would be the way we would probably go. So Luna & Yanda are kind of having our Seattle dream wedding. ;) They got married this past weekend and I am so very happy for them!

The outfits they wore to their engagement session totally showed off their excellent sense of personal style and I was a little obsessed with Luna's awesome dress! Any of my couple's who are looking for outfit advice on what to wear, Luna & Yanda nailed it!! They came dressed in something a little more "sassy/classy" for our time at UW and then changed into some really bright awesome colors for our time frolicking in the fields!

Luna & Yanda wanted to add time to their session so that they could cover a variety of locations so I ended up having 3.5 hours of time with these two!! It was EPIC! We talked about good music, of which, they have incredible taste. And they made me laugh, A LOT!
Luna & Yanda had complete trust and faith in me and had an amazing natural chemistry together... all ingredients for an incredible session!

Congrats you guys! Hope you are having a blast on your honeymoon!

I also thought I would share a little e mail I got this morning from Luna after she saw the blog images, it made my day ;)

Hi Sarah!
As you already know, I am a regular subscriber to your blog. So when I saw that there's a brand new entry on my Google Reader, my heart started pounding and I had a feeling that after your June 5 post (in which the images were super fun and they cracked me up), I thought perhaps ours might come up soon. And there they were! I can't begin to tell you how thrilled both of us were going through those pictures tonight as soon as we discovered them.. They were insanely fabulous!! The very last one is my favorite among all: it totally captures how Yanda and I are with each other. I also really loved the UW library shots and the grassy field; they were exactly what I had wanted/imagined, only a million times better.
Thank you SO MUCH for spending so much time with us for the super awesome shots! You are truly talented and we couldn't be any happier with the images. (At first I was worried about my hairdo because I felt that I didn't look like myself with it, but you made everything look so beautiful, easy and natural and I couldn't be happier with the result.) I am so glad that we chose you for our e-session; you were absolutely wonderful to work with! We had so much fun with you and can't wait to see the rest of the pictures!

Love,
Luna & Yanda

These are amazing and inspiring photos. Great creativity. I love the legs with the brick streets and the framing done with the flowers.

I think library shots in general might be some of my favorites. Library shots taken by the Rhoads make them killer!

great work. where do i start?

i love, love, love the brick shot. i also like the shot through the branches to reveal the couple. i like that the prospective groom has some flower petals on his shoulder. the B&W library shot is great. oh, i really like the off-center shot of the couple on the stairs. the site scouting paid off.
