Maureen & Vitaliy are some of the most thoughtful & caring people I know. Their wedding reflected them to a tee, from the beautiful details and decor that was chosen by Maureen to the most rad 80's hair-band song that they used for their first dance! so fun;) Maureen & Vitaliy don't take life too seriously and they know how to have a good time.

Maureen is my bride who leaves flowers on my doorstep with a thoughtful note, just because. She is the girl who remembers the small things that most people forget. This was only further affirmed at the wedding when friend after friend spoke of Maureen's amazing thoughtfulness. Vitaliy and her really are perfect for one another, Vitaliy is a strong quiet type who is like a rock for Maureen. It is really beautiful to see these two together.

Maureen & Vitaliy got married at Indian Summer Golf & Country Club. One of my very favorite florists in Seattle, Christiane Zweifler with Flora Nova Design did all of the floral design and she knocked it out of the park, as she always does! One of the best things about M&V is that they really valued their photography. They saw one another in a private 'reveal' before the ceremony where Maureen shed a few tears, it was tender and beautiful. The best part was that they gave Chris and I about 90 minutes before the ceremony for photographs of the two of them. We had a blast. If you would like to see more from their wedding you can check out their album design preview slideshow. Maureen & Vitaliy thank you for everything and we hope you are having a great time on your honeymoon!!

Just another blog stalker here. I was looking at all the amazing shoots you've had the past few months and this one just stands out to me. The colors, the flowers, the light, the shadows, everything looks is so beautiful and you took some incredible photos. The bride and groom - one of the best looking couples on your blog, and you've got a lot of them. Her eyes and smile are ridiculous and you can't get much more suave than the groom. Lovin' the purple and green color scheme. This is def a personal favorite.

I love all your work, but I love the idea behind the shadow of the groom beside the bride... you amaze me!

Being a photographer myself, I always wonder how I'm going to pick a photographer, when I have such high expectations! But I'm quite confident that when that time comes, I will be giving you a call!

Sarah,

You did an amazing job. I'm not going to lie, when you asked us to pose a certain way I thought to myself this lady has a few screws loose, but looking at the pictures those were truly the most amazing ones. You have an amazing vision and a great attitude. Keep up the good work!!!

P.S. Your husband took a few pictures where four guys were standing around the pool table (we copied a famous rat pack picture). I can't see all of those pics. Can you please add them to the album. I would love to buy one.

Really Beautiful. The Bride's eyes made me stop and stare. Your images are unique, but still classic. I continue to be more and more impressed with your work.

todd scott ballje says: Tuesday, May 5, 2009, 08:24 PM

ahhhh the old gorgeous sunset with the perfect amount of rain trick, so as to be amazing for photos but not too much to trouble the bride. I forgot how to do that one, remind me! ha! awesome awesome capture and recognition of the opportunity during a rare weather moment!!
(so I guess I won't try kicking up the dust during sunset next bridal shoot, darn!)

This is one of my favorite posts you guys have done. The groom's shadow photo (where the bride is shown) is gorgeous and darling. When I need inspiration + escape from the grad school life I come here. :) You're great, darling.

Heather Sharpe says: Monday, May 4, 2009, 09:36 PM

I can't even describe how amazed I am at these photos ... you are SO SO talented, Sarah ... we'd really love to showcase one of your real weddings ... perhaps this one?? I will call you this week.

Sarah, you just don't understand. Well, you probably do. We are here in the Bahamas and I am bawling (if you remember the ceremony) in front of strangers. I can't thank you enough for the emotions you caught. I love Vitaliy (and you and Chris) more than words can understand. We love you and Chris and that's all we've been able to talk about our whole honeymoon.....thank you so much and LYSICO!!!!!

Kat Hennessey says: Monday, May 4, 2009, 08:45 PM

. That's what I say when there are no words. Just a simple period, to communicate that what you have done is so incredible, that there are just no words.
You amaze me!

Hey Todd! The "fairy dust" is actually sprinkles from the rain... typical Seattle for you! Turned out pretty rad though. I am learning to use the rain to my advantage! ;)

todd scott ballje says: Monday, May 4, 2009, 04:56 PM

ok, those are ridiculous.ly good. I'm not sure whose hotter, Marueen or Vitaliy. No I guess I know...
absolutely love the third to last with the light and dust backlit. Is that sparkle dust? And as always (sigh) amazing portraits. Im gonna ask for 90 minutes next week and see how that goes ha!

so all in all, continued amazing meteoric growth Sarah and Chris! Congrats

oh and congrats Maureen and Vitaliy. :)
