Mark & Candice Brooke are our "life-twinkie's." What is a life twinkie you may be asking yourself? Well it is a person who has so much in common with you it freaks you out a little bit.... that's Mark & Candice...they also double as yummy golden sponge cakes with creamy filling.
They are just that delightful.
Mark & Candice are our same ages, they got married around the same time we did, we all started our photo biz's at the same time, they are a husband and wife photo team who knows how to rock it, just like us ;), they shop at the same places we shop... i.e. great places! Mark is a musician, Chris is a Musician. Candice is a totally ambitious, go getter... Sarah (moi) is a 'totally ambitious go getter.' They share our outlook on so many things from stupid shows that we like to our philosophies on life. We are cynical about the same things and both like good sushi. They care about people and they are going to do a great many things in this world... and hey! So are we! ;)
The *only* difference between us is M & C are going to have a lil' Brooke to add to the family come this September... The Rhoads definitely will not, some day, but not ANY time soon.
These two came out to play in Seattle for a week. They ended up staying downtown at one of our favorite hotels, The Ace Hotel,Seattle so we decided to do a mini-session for them at the hotel. I have been dying to do a shoot there and who better than our special life-twinkie friends.
And a big thank you to the musical graces of Pheonix for entertaining me while I edited this fantastic lil' session.

small world... we met candice at image X in new orleans last october, and she shot MY maternity pics in HER hotel room! super excited to see these you did of her and mark... they're super cool! (the photos i mean... but the brooke's aren't too bad, either) ;)
